What you need

  • Passport validity: must be valid for at least 6 months from date of entry and have at least 2 blank visa pages.
  • Specific forms: there is no separate Suriname visa form; complete the online e-Visa application on the VFSGLOBAL Suriname portal and print the confirmation.
  • Financial proof: provide proof of sufficient funds for your stay (last 3 months bank statements). A conservative estimate is about 60 USD per day; for a 30‑day stay plan for at least 1800 USD in available funds.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: hotel bookings or invitation letter; return or onward travel ticket required.
  • Photo spec: one recent color photograph (2x2 inches / 51x51 mm) with a white background; head size 25‑35 mm; no sunglasses; neutral expression.
  • Biometrics: not required for the electronic visa; biometric data may be collected if you visit a visa application center.
  • Travel health insurance: not mandatory, but strongly recommended; policy should cover medical expenses and any medical evacuation if needed.

How to apply online

  • How approval arrives: you will receive an email with your e-Visa authorization; print the e-Visa or approval letter and present it on arrival.
