Visa Free

US citizens can enter Hungary visa-free for tourism or business for up to 90 days within any 180-day period; no visa is required, but your passport must be valid and you may be asked to show proof of funds, accommodation, and onward travel at the border.

What you need

  • Passport validity: Your US passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure date from the Schengen area and have at least two blank pages.
