  • Visa on arrival: available at Asmara International Airport and select land border posts (confirm current ports on the Eritrea.be portal); steps are: arrive with required documents, proceed to the visa on arrival counter, pay the fee in cash (USD/EUR as accepted), and obtain the entry stamp; queue times can be long depending on arrivals.
  • Sticker visa (embassy/consulate route): if applying through an Eritrean embassy or consulate, collect the documents, submit through the chosen post or appointment system, pay the consular fee, and wait for processing (typically several days to a couple of weeks); you may be interviewed and a paper visa stamped into your passport upon approval.
