Vietnam Visa for Pakistan Citizens 2026

e-Visa / eTA

Pakistani citizens can apply for a Vietnam e-visa online at evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn; single-entry fee USD 25, multiple-entry USD 50, standard processing 3 working days.

Guide last updated October 21, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
  • Digital passport-size photo (white background) and a scanned passport bio-data page, uploaded on the e-visa portal
  • A valid email address and debit/credit card for online fee payment
  • Confirmed accommodation details or itinerary (may be requested)
  • Return/onward flight itinerary
  • No biometrics are required for the e-visa itself; biometric photo/fingerprint capture happens on arrival at some airports as part of standard immigration procedure

Visa types

  • Single-entry e-Visa — valid for up to 90 days, fee USD 25
  • Multiple-entry e-Visa — valid for up to 90 days with unlimited entries/exits, fee USD 50
  • Visa exemption does not apply to Pakistani passport holders, so the e-visa (or a sticker visa through the embassy) is mandatory for any length of stay

How to apply online

  • Go to the official portal evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn and create an account
  • Fill in personal, passport, and trip details, and select single or multiple entry
  • Upload the digital photo and passport bio-data page scan
  • Pay the e-visa fee online by international debit/credit card
  • Receive the approved e-visa (PDF) by email, usually within 3 working days
  • Print the e-visa and present it with your passport at immigration on arrival; some airports also allow scanning the QR code on a phone

Fees & processing time

  • Single-entry e-visa fee: USD 25
  • Multiple-entry e-visa fee: USD 50
  • Standard processing time: 3 working days
  • Urgent/expedited processing (via authorised travel agents, not the government portal directly): same-day or next-day service for an added agent fee of USD 10-30
  • Total realistic budget: USD 25-80 depending on entry type and urgency

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Apply at least 5-7 working days before travel to allow for processing and avoid last-minute issues
  • Use only the official evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn portal — many unofficial sites charge extra for the same service
  • Double-check passport number and personal details before submitting, as corrections after payment can delay approval
  • Print at least one physical copy of the approved e-visa even if entering with the digital QR version, since some airports still check paper printouts
  • Keep the e-visa confirmation accessible for the full duration of the trip, as it may be checked during hotel registration or upon departure
  • Vietnam's e-visa does not permit employment; a separate work permit and work visa are needed for paid activity
