Somalia Visa for Pakistan Citizens 2026

e-Visa / eTA

Pakistani citizens can obtain a Somalia e-Visa online before travel through Somalia's official e-Visa portal; fee around USD 60 for a single-entry tourist e-Visa, with approval typically in 3-5 business days.

Guide last updated October 20, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry, with at least 1 blank page
  • Digital passport-style photo uploaded during the online application
  • Scanned copy of the passport bio-data page
  • Return or onward flight itinerary
  • Hotel booking or invitation letter from a host/sponsor in Somalia
  • A valid email address to receive the e-Visa approval
  • Biometrics are collected on arrival at Aden Adde International Airport, not during the online application
  • Travel and medical evacuation insurance is strongly recommended given the security situation

Visa types

  • Tourist e-Visa: single entry, typically valid for a stay of 30 days from entry
  • Business e-Visa: single entry, similar validity, requires an invitation letter from a Somali company or organization
  • Diplomatic/Official visas: handled separately through government channels, not the e-Visa portal

How to apply online

  • Apply through Somalia's official e-Visa portal, creating an account and completing the online form
  • Upload the passport scan and photo, and pay the fee by credit/debit card
  • Approval is sent by email as a PDF e-Visa, which should be printed and carried with the passport
  • Present the printed e-Visa and passport on arrival; immigration issues an entry stamp and takes biometrics at that point

Fees & processing time

  • e-Visa fee: approximately USD 60 for a single-entry tourist e-Visa, paid online by card
  • No separate service/agent fee if applying directly through the official portal
  • Standard processing: 3-5 business days; apply at least a week before travel to allow for delays
  • No official express option is advertised

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Double-check you are using Somalia's official government e-Visa site, as third-party sites sometimes charge extra for the same service
  • Check current travel advisories from the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs before traveling, given the security environment in parts of Somalia
  • Carry both a printed and a digital copy of the e-Visa approval
  • Arrange private medical evacuation insurance, as facilities outside Mogadishu are very limited
  • Visa extensions, if needed, must be arranged with the Somali Immigration Department in Mogadishu before the e-Visa expires
