e-Visa / eTA

Pakistani citizens need an e-Visa for Liberia - apply online before travel; single-entry fee around USD 100, processing 3-5 business days, and a valid yellow fever certificate is mandatory.

Guide last updated October 20, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date, with at least 2 blank pages
  • Completed online e-Visa application form
  • Recent passport-style photo (2x2 inches, white background, uploaded digitally)
  • Proof of onward/return ticket
  • Hotel booking or local invitation letter
  • Proof of sufficient funds (bank statement, last 3 months)
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate (mandatory - Liberia requires this for all arriving travelers, including transit passengers from Pakistan if they transited a yellow-fever zone)
  • Biometrics: fingerprints and photo taken on arrival at Roberts International Airport (RIA), Monrovia, not required in advance

Visa types

  • Tourist e-Visa: single entry, valid 30 days from issue for entry, max stay 30 days, approximate fee USD 100
  • Business e-Visa: single entry, max stay 30 days, requires an invitation letter from a Liberian company, approximate fee USD 100
  • Multiple-entry e-Visa: valid up to 1 year, approximate fee USD 200, requires justification for repeat travel

How to apply online

  • Apply through the e-Visa portal linked from the Liberia Immigration Service, or through the Liberian Embassy's accredited portal for Pakistan (Liberia has no embassy in Pakistan, so applications are routed via the Liberian mission in India at liberiaembassyindia.org)
  • Steps: create an account, fill the application, upload passport bio page and photo, pay online by card
  • Fee: approximately USD 100 (single entry) payable in USD via the portal; a non-refundable processing fee may apply
  • Processing time: 3-5 business days for standard applications; express service (24-48 hours) sometimes available for an extra USD 20-30
  • Approval arrives as a PDF e-Visa authorization by email - print it and present it with your passport at check-in and on arrival; immigration still stamps the passport at Roberts International Airport

Fees & processing time

  • e-Visa fee: approximately USD 100 (single entry), USD 200 (multiple entry)
  • No separate VFS/BLS fee - applications go directly through the online portal or the Liberian mission in India
  • Total estimated cost: USD 100-110 including card processing charges
  • Standard processing: 3-5 business days
  • Express processing: 24-48 hours where offered, additional USD 20-30

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Apply at least 2 weeks before travel to allow for any requests for additional documents
  • Common rejection reasons: missing yellow fever certificate, blurry photo uploads, insufficient bank balance shown, unclear invitation letters for business visas
  • Since Liberia has no diplomatic mission in Pakistan, route paper-document queries through the Liberian Embassy in New Delhi (liberiaembassyindia.org) rather than expecting a local VFS/BLS center
  • Carry printed copies of the e-Visa approval, yellow fever certificate, and hotel booking - airport officers in Monrovia frequently ask for all three
  • Extensions beyond 30 days can be requested at the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization in Monrovia before the visa expires
