  • Transit e-Visa: for travelers transiting through Kazakhstan, shorter validity and lower fee

How to apply online

  • Visit the official Kazakhstan e-visa portal (evisa.gov.kz / vmp.gov.kz)
  • Register an account and complete the online application with passport and travel details
  • Upload the passport scan, photo, and supporting documents (hotel booking, invitation letter if applicable)

Fees & processing time

  • e-Visa fee: USD 45-80 depending on visa category (~PKR 12,600-22,400)
  • No additional service fee when applying directly through the official government portal
  • Total estimated cost: USD 45-85
  • Standard processing: 3-5 working days
  • Express processing (1-2 days) may be available for an additional fee

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Apply at least 1-2 weeks before travel to account for processing delays
  • Common rejection reasons: blurry document scans, insufficient funds, missing invitation letter for business visas
  • Use only the official government e-visa portal; third-party agents may overcharge or provide incorrect information
  • Check current bilateral travel advisories and any recent changes to Kazakhstan's visa policy for Pakistani nationals
  • Extensions of stay can be requested at local migration police offices within Kazakhstan if needed
