Fees & processing time

  • Short-stay e-Visa fee: approximately USD 90 (about PKR 25,300)
  • Business/multiple-entry e-Visa fee: approximately USD 130
  • No separate VFS/BLS fee since the e-Visa is processed directly through the embassy's portal
  • Standard processing time: 5-7 days
  • No formal expedited option; apply at least 2-3 weeks before travel to accommodate possible delays

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Secure a sponsor or invitation letter in advance, as this is often requested and speeds up approval
  • Common rejection reasons: missing yellow fever certificate, unclear photo, or incomplete sponsor details
  • French and Arabic are the main administrative languages in Chad; having documents available in either can help
  • Carry both printed and digital copies of the e-Visa approval and yellow fever certificate while traveling
  • Extensions of stay can be requested at the Directorate of Immigration in N'Djamena before the e-Visa expires
