  • Completed arrival/departure card (for the on-arrival route) or the online e-Visa application form
  • Confirmed return/onward flight ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking)
  • USD cash for the visa-on-arrival fee (approximately USD 30; the e-Visa fee of around USD 36 including service charge is paid online)

  • Travel health insurance is recommended

  • Ordinary/Business Visa (E-class): single entry, valid for 30 days, extendable for longer stays and convertible to multiple-entry after extension; fee USD 35 on arrival
  • E-Visa is only issued for the Tourist (T) class; the Business (E) class must be obtained on arrival or at a Cambodian embassy

Visa on arrival

  • Visa on arrival is available at Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville international airports, and at major land border crossings.
  • Fill in the arrival visa form and submit it with the passport photo at the visa counter
  • Pay the fee in USD cash (USD 30 for tourist, USD 35 for business/ordinary)
  • A passport photo is taken on the spot if you did not bring your own
  • The visa sticker is affixed and the passport stamped, usually within 15-20 minutes
  • Alternatively, apply for the e-Visa in advance at evisa.gov.kh to skip the on-arrival queue

Fees & processing time

  • Visa on arrival (Tourist): USD 30 cash; (Business/Ordinary): USD 35 cash
  • e-Visa (Tourist only): approximately USD 30 visa fee plus USD 6 processing/service fee, total around USD 36, paid online by card
  • Standard e-Visa processing time: 3 business days
  • Visa on arrival processing time: 15-20 minutes at the airport counter

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Using the e-Visa in advance avoids the on-arrival queue, which can be long during peak season
  • Common e-Visa rejection reasons: unclear photo upload, passport scan not matching application details, or incomplete payment
  • Carry a printed copy of the e-Visa approval alongside the physical passport when traveling
  • For business travel, plan to use the on-arrival Business (E) visa since the e-Visa only covers tourism
  • Extensions of 30 days are straightforward and can be arranged through local travel agents or the Immigration Department in Phnom Penh before the visa expires
