Brazil Visa for Pakistan Citizens 2026

Visa Required

Pakistani citizens need a visitor visa (VIVIS) for Brazil, applied in person via the Brazilian consular section or an authorized visa center; fee is around USD 80-100, with standard processing of 10-15 working days.

Guide last updated October 19, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the planned stay, with at least 2 blank pages.
  • Completed online visa application form (e-Visa Brazil portal generates a confirmation page to print and sign)
  • One recent passport-size photo (2x2 inch, white background)
  • Confirmed round-trip flight reservation
  • Proof of accommodation for the full stay (hotel bookings or invitation letter)
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months showing sufficient funds
  • Travel health insurance covering the full stay in Brazil (recommended, sometimes requested by immigration)
  • Biometrics (fingerprints, digital photo) collected in person at the consular office or visa application center
  • Employment letter/NOC or business registration/trade license if traveling for business

Visa types

  • VIVIS (Visitor Visa - Tourism): valid for up to 90 days per entry within a 1-year validity window, multiple entries, fee around USD 80
  • VIVIS (Visitor Visa - Business): same validity structure, fee around USD 80, requires an invitation letter from the Brazilian host company
  • VITEM (Temporary Visa): for study, work, research or cultural exchange longer than 90 days, fee varies by subtype, typically USD 100-200
  • Transit Visa: for layovers requiring airport exit, fee around USD 40

How to apply

  • Brazil accepts applications through its official e-Visa portal (which still requires document upload and, depending on jurisdiction, an in-person biometrics appointment) or directly at the Brazilian Embassy/Consulate section if there is no e-Visa processing center covering Pakistan.
  • Complete the application on the Brazil e-Visa website and pay the fee online
  • Upload all required documents (photo, passport scan, itinerary, accommodation, funds proof)
  • Schedule and attend a biometrics appointment if requested by the consulate
  • Track the application status online; the approved e-Visa or visa sticker/stamp is issued electronically or returned with the passport

Fees & processing time

  • VIVIS visa fee: approximately USD 80 (about PKR 22,500)
  • VITEM visa fees: approximately USD 100-200 depending on subtype
  • Service/facilitation fee if using a visa center: approximately PKR 5,000-8,000 additional
  • Standard processing time: 10-15 working days from a complete application
  • No formal expedited service; apply at least 4-6 weeks before travel to avoid issues from the lack of a resident Brazilian consulate presence close to all applicants

Tips for Pakistan travelers

  • Apply well in advance (4-6 weeks) since Pakistan does not have consistent coverage from a nearby Brazilian consular post
  • Common rejection reasons: insufficient funds, incomplete itinerary, or unclear purpose of visit
  • Make sure the uploaded photo meets Brazil's strict specifications; mismatched photos are a frequent cause of delay
  • Carry printed copies of the e-Visa approval and all supporting documents when traveling, as immigration officers at entry may request them
  • Extensions of stay (up to another 90 days within the 1-year window) can be requested at the Federal Police office inside Brazil before the current permission expires
