What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure from New Zealand

Visa types

  • Visitor Visa: single or multiple entry, generally valid for stays up to 3 or 9 months depending on the grant, fee NZD 211
  • Transit Visa: for travelers transiting through New Zealand without a connecting Visitor Visa already covering the stop, lower fee, shorter validity
  • Work Visa / Student Visa: separate application categories with their own evidence requirements (job offer or enrollment confirmation), not covered under the standard Visitor Visa

  • Apply online via the Immigration New Zealand website (immigration.govt.nz), creating an INZ online account
