Chinese citizens must obtain a visa before traveling to Montenegro, applied for in advance at a Montenegrin embassy/consulate or an authorized visa centre, since Montenegro is outside the Schengen area and requires its own national visa for Chinese passport holders.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from Montenegro, with at least 2 blank pages

  • Round-trip flight reservation

  • Proof of financial means (bank statements for the last 3 months)

  • Tourist Visa (Type C equivalent): single or multiple entry, valid up to 90 days within 180 days
  • Business Visa: requires an invitation letter from a Montenegrin company, similar validity
  • Transit Visa: for short stopovers, valid up to a few days
