Tips for China travelers

  • Plan 2–3 months in advance to avoid delays.
  • Common reasons for visa delays or refusals for Chinese applicants include incomplete documents, insufficient funds, passport validity issues, lack of a clear itinerary or return ticket, inadequate travel insurance, or invitation/host documents missing.
  • VFS/BLS vs direct embassy application: Kosovo visas are typically processed through official Kosovo MFA channels or designated embassies; verify the correct application route on the official portal and use the nearest Kosovo representation.
  • Check current travel advisories and bilateral notes on the official MFA site, as visa rules can change.
  • Extensions inside Kosovo: Short-stay visas are usually limited to 90 days; extensions are not guaranteed and must be requested at least 2 weeks before expiry through the local police or immigration authorities, with supporting documents.
