What you need

  • Specific forms: Schengen visa application form completed, signed and dated; there is no DS-160 for Denmark; submit either via nyidanmark.dk online portal or at the Danish visa application centre.
  • Financial proof: Proof of funds to cover your stay; bank statements for the last 3 months; the Danish authorities do not publish a fixed minimum amount; provide evidence of sufficient funds for travel, accommodation and living costs; include sponsorship letters if applicable.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: Evidence of accommodation for the entire stay (hotel bookings or a letter of invitation from a Danish host) and a return flight ticket or travel itinerary.
  • Photo spec: Two recent passport photos, size 35x45 mm, white background, taken within the last 6 months; face fully visible; no sunglasses; head coverings allowed for religious reasons with face visible.
  • Biometrics: Yes; fingerprints and a photo are collected at the visa application centre when you submit your application.
  • Travel health insurance: Travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 EUR for medical expenses and repatriation valid for the entire Schengen area and duration of stay.

Tips for China travelers
