Tips for China travelers

  • Apply well in advance: ideally 2–3 weeks before travel; allow additional time during peak seasons or holidays.
  • Common rejection reasons for Chinese applicants: incomplete or inconsistent data; passport invalid or expiring soon; no sufficient funds shown; mismatch between tourism purpose and documents; poor quality photo; failure to upload required documents.
  • VFS/BLS vs direct embassy: Albania e-Visa is processed online via e-albania.al; there is no separate VFS/BLS for Albanian e-Visas; for sticker/long-stay visas, use the Albanian embassy/consulate route.
  • Travel advisories: review current travel advisories from the Albanian MFA and your local Chinese authorities; ensure compliance with any bilateral notes.
  • Extensions inside Albania: visa extensions for tourism may be possible through the Albanian immigration authorities or at the local police directorate; approvals are not guaranteed and depend on your case.
