Zambian citizens can apply for an Oman eVisa online through the Royal Oman Police portal — single-entry tourist eVisa costs about OMR 20 (USD 52) and is usually processed within 2–4 business days.

Guide last updated September 27, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
  • Colour scan of the passport bio-data page
  • Recent passport-style photo, white background
  • Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
  • Hotel booking or address of stay in Oman
  • No biometrics required for the eVisa itself, but biometric data may be captured on arrival
  • Travel health insurance is recommended, not mandatory for most tourist eVisa categories

Visa types

  • Tourist eVisa (single entry) — valid for a 10-day stay, extendable once for an additional 10 days
  • Tourist eVisa (unlimited/multiple entry) — valid for one year, each visit up to 30 days, aimed at frequent visitors
  • Business eVisa — requires an invitation/sponsorship letter from an Omani company
  • Family joining and diplomatic categories exist but are handled outside the standard tourist eVisa flow

How to apply online

  • Visit the official eVisa portal at evisa.rop.gov.om
  • Create an account, select the correct visa category, and fill in passport and travel details
  • Upload the passport scan and photo
  • Pay the fee online by credit/debit card
  • Approval is usually emailed as a PDF within 2–4 business days — print it and carry it with your passport
  • Present the approved eVisa printout, passport, and return ticket at immigration on arrival

Fees & processing time

  • Single-entry 10-day tourist eVisa: about OMR 20 (approximately USD 52)
  • Unlimited multiple-entry 1-year eVisa: about OMR 50 (approximately USD 130)
  • Processing time: 2–4 business days for standard applications
  • No official expedited/same-day service — apply at least a week before travel to allow for delays

Tips for Zambia travelers

  • Apply online yourself directly through the official ROP portal to avoid inflated fees charged by third-party visa agents
  • Double-check that passport and photo scans are clear and unedited — blurry uploads are the most common reason for delay or rejection
  • Keep a digital and printed copy of the approved eVisa for the entire trip
  • Extensions must be requested before the initial 10-day validity expires, through the same portal or at a Royal Oman Police office
  • Airlines may ask to see the eVisa approval before boarding, so have it ready at check-in
