What you need

  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond your planned stay
  • Scanned passport bio page
  • Digital passport photo (35x45mm, white background)
  • Completed online application form on evisa.mn
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
  • Return or onward flight ticket
  • Bank statement showing sufficient funds (around USD 50/day)
  • Travel health insurance recommended but not mandatory
  • No biometrics required for the e-Visa itself; fingerprints may be taken on arrival

Visa types

  • Tourist e-Visa: single entry, up to 30 days, around USD 53
  • Business e-Visa: single or multiple entry, 30-90 days, requires an invitation letter, around USD 53-110
  • Transit visa: up to 48 hours, for onward travel through Mongolia

How to apply online

  • Create an account on the official portal evisa.mn
  • Upload your passport scan, photo, and supporting documents
  • Pay the fee online by credit or debit card
  • Standard processing takes 3-5 business days; express service (24-48 hours) available for an extra fee
  • Approval is emailed as a PDF — print it and present it with your passport on arrival
  • Enter Mongolia within 90 days of the e-Visa issue date
