Visa Free

Zambian citizens can enter Jamaica visa-free for stays of up to 90 days as tourists — only a valid passport and proof of onward travel are required on arrival.

Guide last updated November 1, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for the full duration of the intended stay
  • Proof of onward or return travel (flight ticket)
  • Evidence of sufficient funds for the stay (cash, bank card, or prepaid hotel booking)
  • Completed Jamaican immigration/customs (C5) arrival card, usually provided on the flight or at the airport
  • Accommodation details (hotel address or host's address if staying with family/friends)

Visa types

  • No visa is required for stays up to 90 days — entry is granted as a visa-exempt visitor stamp on arrival
  • Travelers intending to work, study, or stay longer than 90 days must apply for the relevant category through the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA)

Entry conditions

  • Maximum stay: 90 days per visit as a tourist or for business meetings (not employment)
  • No work of any kind is permitted under the visa-exempt entry
  • On arrival, present your passport, return ticket, and proof of funds to the immigration officer, who stamps the passport with the permitted stay period
  • Onward or return tickets are checked at check-in by airlines before boarding
  • Extensions beyond 90 days can be requested in person at a PICA office in Jamaica before the initial stamp expires

Fees & processing time

  • No visa fee, since no visa is required
  • No processing time — entry decision is made at the port of arrival
  • An extension application at PICA costs a small local fee (approx. JMD 5,000-7,500, roughly $35-50) and is usually processed same-day or within a few days

Tips for Zambia travelers

  • Carry printed proof of accommodation and return flight, as immigration officers may ask for them directly
  • Double-check that your passport has at least one blank page for the entry stamp
  • Keep a copy of your passport and arrival stamp in case the original is lost during the trip
  • If planning to extend your stay, visit a PICA office well before the 90-day stamp expires to avoid overstay penalties
  • There is no Jamaican diplomatic mission in Zambia — for pre-travel questions, contact PICA directly online
