Guide last updated September 27, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the trip
  • Scanned passport bio page
  • Digital passport photo
  • Confirmed round-trip flight itinerary
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
  • Bank statement or proof of sufficient funds
  • Travel/medical insurance covering the stay
  • Online payment method for the e-visa fee; no in-person biometrics required

Visa types

  • Tourist e-visa: single entry, up to 90 days validity within a set period
  • Business e-visa: single/multiple entry, requires an invitation letter from a Georgian company
  • Transit e-visa: short validity for travelers connecting through Georgia

How to apply online

  • Visit evisa.gov.ge and register an account
  • Complete the application form with personal and trip details
  • Upload required documents: passport scan, photo, flight and hotel bookings, financial proof
  • Pay the processing fee online by card
  • Monitor your email/account for the decision, then print the approved e-visa to present with your passport on arrival

Fees & processing time

  • E-visa processing fee: approximately USD 20 for standard service
  • Express option (where available): around USD 30, shorter wait
  • Standard processing: up to 10 business days
  • Express processing (when offered): as fast as 3-5 business days

Tips for Zambia travelers

  • Apply at least 2-3 weeks before travel to allow for standard processing and any requests for extra documents
  • Common rejection reasons: incomplete financial proof, unclear travel purpose in the invitation/booking documents
  • Keep both a digital and printed copy of the approved e-visa, since border officers may ask for the paper version
  • Extensions of stay are handled through Georgia's Public Service Hall (Ministry of Justice) if you need to remain beyond the granted period
