Fiji Visa for Zambia Citizens 2026

Visa Free

Zambian passport holders can enter Fiji visa-free for stays of up to 4 months (120 days) for tourism purposes; only a valid passport and proof of onward travel are required at the border.

Guide last updated September 27, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for the intended stay (6+ months validity recommended)
  • Confirmed onward or return ticket
  • Proof of accommodation or sufficient funds (roughly FJD 200-300/week suggested)
  • No visa application or photo required in advance
  • No biometrics beyond the standard immigration entry stamp
  • Travel health insurance recommended but not mandatory

Visa types

  • Visa-exempt tourist entry: up to 4 months (120 days), single or multiple entry within that period, no fee
  • Work, student, and business long-stay permits: separate applications required through Fiji's Department of Immigration before travel if the visit is not purely tourism

Entry conditions

  • No visa needed for stays up to 120 days for tourism, family visits, or short business meetings (no local employment allowed)
  • On arrival, present your passport and show your onward ticket and accommodation details to the immigration officer, who stamps the visa-free entry
  • No work permitted under this status
  • Extensions beyond 120 days can be requested at the Department of Immigration in Suva before the initial period expires, subject to a fee and justification

Fees & processing time

  • No fee for the visa-free entry itself
  • In-country extensions cost roughly FJD 133-252 depending on the permit type
  • Extension processing typically takes 5-10 working days

Tips for Zambia travelers

  • Book and carry proof of onward/return travel - airlines and immigration can deny boarding or entry without it
  • Keep at least one blank passport page for the entry stamp
  • Apply for the correct permit with the Department of Immigration well before your visa-free period lapses if you plan to work or stay longer - overstaying is treated strictly
  • Direct flights are limited, so most Zambian travelers transit through Australia, Hong Kong, or Singapore - check that transit country's own visa rules for the layover
