How to apply online

  • Visit Chad's official e-Visa portal
  • Register and complete the online application with passport and travel details
  • Upload the scanned passport page, photo, and yellow fever certificate
  • Pay the fee online by card

  • Print the e-Visa and present it with your passport and yellow fever certificate on arrival at N'Djamena International Airport or another port of entry

  • Tourist e-Visa: approximately USD 60; business e-Visa: approximately USD 80
  • No separate service fee when applying directly through the official portal
  • Standard processing time: 3-5 business days
  • Express processing is not officially guaranteed; allow extra time during peak periods

Tips for Zambia travelers

  • Apply at least 1-2 weeks before travel to account for processing delays
  • Common rejection reasons: blurry scans, missing yellow fever certificate, mismatched personal details
  • Keep both digital and printed copies of the approved e-Visa
  • Check current security advisories, as some regions of Chad have travel restrictions
  • Extensions can be requested at the immigration department in N'Djamena before the visa expires
