Guide last updated October 30, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
  • Completed online e-visa application form
  • Digital passport-style photo uploaded with the application
  • Scanned copy of the passport bio-data page
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host invitation letter)
  • Return or onward flight ticket
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination, required for entry into Cameroon
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay
  • No in-person biometrics required for the e-visa application itself; fingerprints may be captured on arrival

Visa types

  • Tourist e-visa - single entry, valid for up to 90 days, fee around USD 100-110
  • Business e-visa - single or multiple entry, similar fee range, requires an invitation letter from a Cameroonian business contact
  • Transit visa - for short stopovers, lower fee, shorter validity

How to apply online

  • Access the official Cameroon e-visa portal (linked from government resources such as prc.cm) and create an application account
  • Complete the form with passport and travel details, and upload the required documents (photo, passport scan, yellow fever certificate, accommodation proof)
  • Pay the e-visa fee online by card in USD
  • Processing generally takes up to 72 hours; approval is sent by email as a PDF to print
  • Present the printed e-visa approval along with your passport and yellow fever certificate on arrival at Douala or Yaounde airport

Fees & processing time

  • E-visa fee: approximately USD 100-110 depending on visa category and duration
  • No separate service centre fee since the application is made directly through the official portal
  • Total estimated cost: USD 100-110 plus standard card payment charges
  • Standard processing time: up to 72 hours
  • No formally advertised express option

Tips for Zambia travelers

  • Apply at least a week before travel to allow for processing delays
  • A common rejection reason is a missing or invalid yellow fever certificate - confirm it is current before applying
  • Ensure the uploaded passport photo meets the portal's size and background specifications to avoid resubmission
  • Keep a printed and a digital copy of the approved e-visa for both departure and arrival checks
  • Extensions of stay are handled by the Delegation General for National Security inside Cameroon before the e-visa expires
