  • Ordinary/business visa (E-class) - single entry, extendable multiple times, fee USD 35
  • E-Visa - same tourist visa issued online in advance, fee USD 36 (includes processing fee)

Visa on arrival

  • Available at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap international airports and major land border crossings
  • Fill out the arrival visa form and hand it to the immigration counter with your photo
  • Pay the USD 30 fee in cash (small denomination bills preferred)
  • A visa sticker is placed in your passport, typically within 5-10 minutes at the airport (longer queues possible at land borders)
  • Alternatively, apply online in advance at evisa.gov.kh to skip the on-arrival queue

Fees & processing time

  • Visa on arrival fee: USD 30 for the tourist visa, paid in cash
  • E-Visa fee (if applying online): USD 36, including a USD 6 processing fee, payable by credit/debit card
  • Standard processing time: immediate on arrival; e-Visa approval takes about 3 business days online
  • No official express option at the airport counter beyond the standard queue

Tips for Zambia travelers

  • Bring exact USD cash for the on-arrival fee to avoid delays with change
  • Applying for the e-Visa online before travel avoids long queues at busy airports like Phnom Penh
  • Common issues: photos that don't meet size requirements, unclear onward travel proof
  • The tourist visa can be extended once for 30 days at the Department of Immigration in Phnom Penh before it expires
  • Overstaying incurs a daily fine, so track your visa expiry date carefully
