What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay
  • Completed visa application (online via evisa.mfa.am or in person at the embassy)
  • Digital or physical passport-size photo
  • Confirmed round-trip flight itinerary
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay
  • Travel health insurance recommended
  • Biometrics only required for longer-stay visas applied for in person

Visa types

  • Tourist e-visa: single entry, valid up to 120 days, max stay 21 days, fee approx. USD 30
  • Business/ordinary e-visa: single or multiple entry, valid up to 120 days, max stay 120 days, fee approx. USD 60-70
  • Long-stay national visa: applied for in person, for work, study, or residence

How to apply

  • Apply online at evisa.mfa.am by creating an account and completing the application form
  • Upload your passport bio-data page and a recent photo
  • Pay the visa fee online by card (approx. USD 30-70 depending on visa type)
  • Standard processing takes about 3-10 working days
  • Once approved, the e-visa is emailed as a PDF to print and present with your passport on arrival
  • For visa types not covered by the e-visa system, apply in person at the nearest Armenian embassy

Fees & processing time

  • Tourist e-visa fee: approx. USD 30
  • Business e-visa fee: approx. USD 60-70
  • No separate service center fee since the e-visa portal is run directly by the government
  • Total cost estimate: USD 30-90 including any bank charges
  • Standard processing: 3-10 working days; some categories offer faster turnaround at an added fee

Tips for Zambia travelers

  • Apply at least 2-3 weeks in advance to allow for processing and any requests for extra documents
  • Common rejection reasons: unclear purpose of travel, insufficient proof of funds
  • Confirm which visa category matches your trip length before applying, since the tourist e-visa has a shorter maximum stay than the business category
  • Since Zambia has no resident Armenian embassy, the e-visa route avoids the need to travel to a third country
  • Extensions of stay are handled by the Migration Service of Armenia and should be requested before the e-visa expires
