  • Exact USD 30 cash for the visa fee (small denominations recommended, card payment not reliably available)
  • Address of accommodation in Timor-Leste
  • No photo required for the on-arrival visa
  • No biometrics beyond a standard photo/fingerprint capture at the immigration desk
  • Travel health insurance is recommended given limited medical facilities outside Dili

Tips for United Kingdom travelers

  • Apply for extensions well before your 30 days are up, as the Migration Directorate can be slow outside Dili business hours
  • If arriving overland from Indonesia, double-check the specific border post issues visas on arrival, as not all do
