Visa types

  • No short-stay visa required for UK tourists, business visitors, or family visits up to 90 days
  • National long-stay visa (D visa) - required for stays over 90 days, work, or study; applied for at the Swiss Embassy in London
  • Work permit - required for employment, generally employer-sponsored and subject to Swiss cantonal quotas
