Tips for United Kingdom travelers

  • How far in advance to apply: Apply at least 7–14 days before travel; you can apply up to 3 months in advance depending on visa type.
  • Common rejection reasons for UK applicants specifically: Incomplete documentation, passport validity under 6 months, mismatch between application data and passport, insufficient proof of funds, lack of hotel or invitation letter, or poor photo quality; ensure all documents are clear and match your passport data.
  • VFS/BLS vs direct embassy application: The Ivory Coast e-Visa is handled online via snedai.ci; if you require a traditional sticker visa or cannot use the online system, contact the Ivory Coast embassy/consulate in London or the nearest consulate per gouv.ci for alternatives.
  • Travel advisories or bilateral notes: Check the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) travel advice for Ivory Coast and follow any health or security guidance.
  • Extension options: Extensions may be possible from Ivory Coast immigration authorities; apply before your current visa expires through SNEDAI or the appropriate immigration office with the applicable fee.
