  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date

  • Proof of onward or return travel may be requested at immigration
  • Proof of sufficient funds for your stay may be requested but is rarely checked
  • No photo or biometric submission required in advance; fingerprint/photo capture is done at the automated or manual immigration counter on arrival
  • Travel health insurance is not mandatory but strongly recommended

Visa types

  • Visa-free tourism/business entry: single stay of up to 30 days, unlimited entries as long as each stay does not exceed 30 days
  • Longer stays (study, work, residency) require a separate visa or permit applied for in advance through Macao's Public Security Police or Labour Affairs Bureau

Entry conditions
