  • Financial proof: not required for the e-visa application; you should have access to sufficient funds for your stay.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: not mandatory for the e-visa, but having confirmed hotel bookings or a temporary address in Tajikistan and a return/onward ticket is strongly recommended.

  • Biometrics: not required for the e-visa; no in-person biometrics submission is needed for the e-visa process.
  • Travel health insurance: not mandatory, but strongly recommended to have comprehensive health coverage during your stay.

Tips for Singapore travelers

  • How far in advance to apply: aim to apply at least 3–5 days before travel; allow up to 3 business days for standard processing, and apply earlier during peak travel periods.
  • Common rejection reasons for Singapore applicants: passport validity less than 6 months, passport data mismatch with application, photo not meeting specifications, incomplete or incorrect travel dates, or upload of unclear/expired documents.
  • VFS/BLS vs direct embassy application: Tajikistan’s online e-visa is the official channel for Tourism and Business stays; no external agency is required for the e-visa. If a sticker visa or consular visa is needed, apply via the Tajikistan embassy or consulate; check the Singapore or regional Tajikistan embassy for options and appointment requirements.
  • Travel advisories or bilateral notes: always check the Singapore MFA travel advisories and Tajikistan’s latest entry requirements close to your departure date; ensure compliance with local laws and customs.
  • Extension options inside Tajikistan: extensions may be possible through the Tajik Migration Service; typical extension windows range up to 30–60 days with additional fees; apply before your visa expiry and obtain an extension approval prior to travel exit.
