What you need

  • Passport validity: Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned date of departure from the Schengen area; ensure at least 2 blank pages in your passport.
  • Specific forms: No visa application forms are required for visa-free entry.
  • Financial proof: There is no fixed minimum amount for visa-free entry; border authorities may ask to show proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay. Have recent bank statements or proof of funds available.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: Have proof of accommodation (hotel bookings or invitation letter from host) and a return or onward ticket to show intent to leave the Schengen area.

How to apply

  • Entry without visa: How to apply online is not applicable. How to enter visa-free: 1) Ensure passport and documents meet the visa-free entry requirements; 2) Present passport, travel insurance, proof of funds, accommodation details, and return/onward ticket at the Lithuanian border control; 3) You may be asked about the purpose of your visit and your plans in Lithuania; 4) Do not work during visa-free stay; for any work, you must obtain a valid visa prior to employment; 5) If you plan to stay longer than 90 days, you must apply for a national visa (D) or Lithuanian residence permit before your 90-day limit expires, or travel to a nearby Schengen country and apply for a longer stay there.
