  • Travel health insurance: not strictly required but strongly recommended; coverage should include medical emergencies with a minimum limit of around USD 30,000.

Application process

  • How to apply online (e-Visa):
  • Go to https://www.migracion.gob.do/ and create or log in to your account.
  • Choose the appropriate visa type (e-Visa) and fill the online application form with your personal details and travel plans.
  • Upload required documents (passport bio page, photo, travel itinerary, hotel or invitation letter, bank statements, travel health insurance).
  • Pay the visa fee (USD 60) via the online payment method (credit/debit) or local currency equivalent as displayed by the portal.
  • Submit the application and wait for processing (typically 5–7 working days).
  • If approved, you will receive an electronic visa notice by email; print the approval and carry it to DR entry along with your passport and supporting documents.
  • Sticker visa (consulate/embassy route):
  • Identify the nearest Dominican Republic embassy/consulate that processes visas for your region (if Singapore does not host a DR embassy, you may need to apply via a regional or international DR consulate or the e-Visa path as above).
