Singaporean citizens can enter Denmark visa-free for short stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period; no visa is required for tourism or business; ensure passport validity and travel insurance; ETIAS may be required in the future, see nyidanmark.dk for updates.

What you need

  • Passport validity: Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen area; it should have been issued within the last 10 years.
  • Specific forms: No visa application forms are required for short stays; there is no DS-160, VAF1A, or equivalent for Denmark visas under visa-free entry.
  • Financial proof: There is no fixed minimum, but border control may request evidence of sufficient funds for your stay.
  • Accommodation and return ticket: Not mandatory; carry proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation) and a return/onward ticket if asked.
  • Photo specification: No pre-submission photo is required; bring a valid passport photo if border control asks.
  • Biometrics: No additional biometric appointment is required for visa-free entry.
  • Travel health insurance: Not required but strongly recommended; carry evidence of travel health insurance if asked; aim for coverage that includes medical emergencies in Schengen, e.g. minimum EUR 30,000.

Entry conditions

  • If ETIAS becomes mandatory in the future, you will need to apply online before travel at etias.eu; currently not required.
  • For longer stays (beyond 90 days) or residence-permit routes, use nyidanmark.dk and contact the Danish embassy/consulate (um.dk) to apply; these are not visa-free.
  • How to enter: Arrive at a Danish port of entry; present passport; comply with the 90/180-day rule.

  • Extension options inside Denmark: You cannot extend a visa-free stay beyond 90 days; to stay longer you must leave Denmark/Schengen and apply for a long-term residence permit (work, study, family reunification) via nyidanmark.dk; for work or study, apply through the Danish authorities before or from outside Denmark.
