Tips for Singapore travelers

  • Apply well in advance: at least 3–4 days before travel; 7–10 days is recommended to allow for any delays or issues.
  • Common rejection reasons for Singapore applicants: incorrect or mismatched passport details (name, date of birth, passport number), passport validity under 6 months, non-compliant photo (background, size, or freshness), incomplete application data, or payment issues.
  • VFS/BLS vs direct embassy: For the online e-visa route, apply directly at https://www.evisa.gov.kh/. If you need a traditional sticker visa or if advised by the Cambodian embassy, you may apply through the Cambodian Embassy in Singapore (check https://www.mfaic.gov.kh/ for official embassy details and appointment procedures).
  • Travel advisories: Always check Singapore MFA and Cambodia’s official travel advisories before departure and respect any entry requirements or health advisories in force.
  • Extension options inside Cambodia: If you need to stay longer, visa extensions are possible at the Department of Immigration in Phnom Penh or local immigration offices; typical tourist-visa extension options include adding up to 1 month at a time, with fees varying (often several tens of USD) and subject to immigration policy at the time of extension.
