Singapore Visa for Kenya Citizens 2026

Visa Free

Kenyan citizens can enter Singapore visa-free for tourism or business stays of up to 30 days, needing only a valid passport, return ticket, and a completed SG Arrival Card submitted online before arrival.

Guide last updated September 25, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of arrival
  • SG Arrival Card (electronic) submitted online within 3 days before arrival — this replaces the paper disembarkation card
  • Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host's address)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay, occasionally requested by immigration officers
  • No photo required for visa-free entry
  • Biometrics: facial image and fingerprints captured at the automated immigration gates or counters on arrival at Changi Airport
  • Travel health insurance: not mandatory but recommended

Visa types

  • Visit Pass (Visa-Free) — issued on arrival for tourism or short business visits, up to 30 days, no fee
  • Employment Pass / Work Permit — for employment, sponsored by a Singapore-registered employer, applied separately and in advance
  • Student's Pass — for study at a Singapore institution, applied for through the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) before travel

Entry conditions

  • Kenyan passport holders do not need a visa for stays of up to 30 days for tourism or short business visits
  • Complete the SG Arrival Card online (via the ICA e-Service) within 3 days before arrival, providing health and travel declarations
  • On arrival at Changi Airport, present your passport at an automated clearance gate or a manned counter; a Visit Pass is granted electronically, usually for 30 days
  • Employment or study is not permitted on a visa-free Visit Pass
  • Extensions beyond 30 days can be requested at the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) office in Singapore, subject to justification and are not guaranteed

Fees & processing time

  • Visa-free entry: no fee
  • SG Arrival Card submission: free, done online
  • Visit Pass extension at ICA (if approved): fee approximately SGD 40 (approx. USD 30)
  • Extension processing time: same day to a few working days
  • No express service needed since entry itself is immediate and visa-free

Tips for Kenya travelers

  • Submit your SG Arrival Card online before departure to avoid delays at immigration counters
  • Keep proof of your return ticket and accommodation accessible, since immigration officers can still request it despite visa-free entry
  • Common issues for travelers include arriving without having completed the SG Arrival Card, which can slow processing at the gate
  • If you intend to conduct business activities beyond simple meetings, confirm whether your specific activities still qualify as visa-free business visits or require a separate work pass
  • Overstaying even briefly is taken seriously by Singapore authorities and can result in fines or bans, so track your 30-day limit carefully
