Saudi Arabia Visa for Kenya Citizens 2026

e-Visa / eTA

Kenyan citizens can apply for a Saudi tourist e-visa online through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' eVisa platform, receiving a multiple-entry visa valid for one year with a maximum stay of 90 days per visit, usually approved within minutes to a few days.

Guide last updated September 25, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
  • Online eVisa application form completed at visa.mofa.gov.sa (no paper DS-160-style form)
  • Confirmed return ticket and accommodation details (hotel booking or Umrah/Hajj operator confirmation if applicable)
  • Proof of funds: bank statement showing sufficient balance, though rarely checked strictly for the tourist eVisa
  • Digital passport photo, white background, uploaded during application
  • Biometrics: fingerprints captured on arrival at Saudi airports (Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam) via e-gates or immigration counters
  • Mandatory travel and medical insurance, automatically bundled into the eVisa fee and valid for the visa's duration

Visa types

  • Tourist eVisa — multiple entry, valid 1 year from issue, maximum stay 90 days per visit, fee SAR 463 (approx. USD 123) including insurance
  • Business Visa — single/multiple entry, requires a Saudi sponsor or invitation letter, processed through the Saudi embassy or Enjaz visa system
  • Umrah Visa — issued through approved Umrah operators for pilgrimage travel, valid for the Umrah season dates
  • Family/Visit Visa — for visiting relatives or friends resident in Saudi Arabia, sponsor-based, applied through Enjaz

How to apply online

  • Go to visa.mofa.gov.sa and select 'Apply for eVisa'
  • Enter passport details, travel dates, and accommodation information
  • Upload a digital passport photo and pay the fee (SAR 463 / approx. USD 123) by credit or debit card
  • The system automatically bundles mandatory travel insurance into this fee
  • Approval is often issued within minutes but can take up to 3-5 working days for manual review
  • The approved eVisa is emailed as a PDF; print it or save it on your phone to present at check-in and immigration

Fees & processing time

  • eVisa fee (visa + mandatory insurance): SAR 463, approximately USD 123
  • No separate VFS/BLS service fee since the eVisa is applied for directly through the government portal
  • Standard processing: usually instant to 3 working days
  • No official express option — the standard process is already fast for most applicants

Tips for Kenya travelers

  • Apply a few days before travel; approval is often near-instant but build in a buffer in case of manual review
  • Common rejection reasons include passport validity under 6 months, mismatched name spelling between passport and payment card, and unclear travel purpose
  • If travelling for Umrah rather than general tourism, use an accredited Umrah operator's visa process instead of the general tourist eVisa
  • The eVisa allows entry through any Saudi port, including for Umrah at Jeddah or Madinah, but always confirm current rules with the operator or embassy before booking flights
  • Overstaying the 90-day limit carries fines and possible travel bans, so track your stay carefully if making multiple entries within the 1-year validity
