Palestine Visa for Kenya Citizens 2026

Visa Required

Kenyan citizens need advance entry clearance to visit the Palestinian Territories, which is coordinated through Israeli border authorities since Palestine controls no independent international airport or land border crossing.

Guide last updated September 25, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned stay, with at least 2 blank pages
  • No separate Palestinian visa form exists; entry is granted as an Israeli-controlled permit at the border
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host invitation letter) for the West Bank or Gaza area you plan to visit
  • Return or onward flight ticket
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the trip (bank statement or cash declaration)
  • Passport-size photo (2x2 inches, white background) recommended for any supporting consular paperwork
  • Biometrics (fingerprints, photo) are commonly taken at Ben Gurion Airport or the Allenby Bridge crossing
  • Travel health insurance is strongly recommended, though not formally mandated

Visa types

  • There is no dedicated "Palestine visa" issued to foreign nationals; travelers receive an entry permit from Israeli border control
  • Tourist/visitor entry: single-entry permit, stay length set by the immigration officer at entry, commonly up to 90 days
  • Pilgrimage or family-visit entry: same permit type, but carrying a letter of invitation or church/mosque sponsorship letter speeds up screening
  • No separate business or student visa track exists for Kenyan citizens travelling only to Palestinian areas

How to apply

  • Since Palestine has no embassy in Nairobi, most Kenyan travelers coordinate through the Israeli Embassy in Nairobi for entry-related guidance, or transit via Jordan
  • Common route: fly into Amman, Jordan, then cross into the West Bank via the Allenby Bridge (King Hussein Bridge) land crossing
  • Alternative: fly directly into Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv) and proceed overland to Palestinian Authority areas
  • Carry printed proof of purpose of travel (invitation letter, hotel booking, itinerary) — Kenyan passport holders are sometimes subject to additional secondary screening
  • Security interviews at the border are standard; answer consistently and avoid carrying material that could be seen as political
  • Allow several hours at the Allenby Bridge crossing for processing

Fees & processing time

  • No separate Palestinian visa fee; costs relate to the Jordan side of the trip and the border crossing itself
  • Allenby Bridge exit/crossing fees run approximately JOD 10-40 (about USD 15-55) depending on transport used on the Jordanian side
  • If a Jordanian visa is required for the transit, budget roughly USD 40-60 for that separately
  • Processing at the border is done same-day, but queues and security screening can add several hours
  • No formal express/priority lane exists for this crossing

Tips for Kenya travelers

  • Apply for any Jordanian transit visa well ahead of travel if routing through Amman
  • Keep printed copies of your hotel booking, invitation letter, and return ticket — phone-only copies are often not accepted
  • Register your trip with the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the nearest Kenyan mission if staying more than a few days
  • Expect thorough questioning at Israeli-controlled crossings; entry is at the discretion of the border officer and is not guaranteed even with full documentation
  • Avoid scheduling tight onward connections on your entry day given unpredictable crossing times
  • Check the latest Kenyan government travel advisory before finalizing plans given the security situation in the region
