Morocco Visa for Kenya Citizens 2026

Visa Required

Kenyan citizens need a visa to visit Morocco, applied for through the Moroccan consulate or its authorized visa application centre, with biometric enrollment and standard processing of around 5-10 working days.

Guide last updated September 25, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay
  • Completed Moroccan visa application form (available online or at the consulate)
  • Proof of purpose of travel (hotel bookings, invitation letter, or business correspondence)
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months showing sufficient funds
  • Proof of employment or business ownership in Kenya
  • Confirmed round-trip flight itinerary
  • Two recent passport-size photos (35mm x 45mm, white background)
  • Biometrics: fingerprints and photo captured in person at the visa application centre
  • Travel health insurance: recommended, not always mandatory

Visa types

  • Tourist Visa: single or multiple entry, valid for stays up to 90 days, fee approx. MAD 300-400 (about USD 30-40)
  • Business Visa: requires an invitation letter from a Moroccan company, similar fee and validity to the tourist visa
  • Transit Visa: for short stopovers, lower fee and shorter validity

How to apply

  • Submit your application through the Moroccan consulate or embassy accredited to handle Kenya applications (regionally accredited, as Morocco does not maintain a full consulate network in every African country)
  • Complete the online or paper application form and gather all required documents
  • Attend the appointment in person for biometric enrollment (fingerprints and photo) and document submission
  • Standard processing time is approximately 5-10 working days from submission
  • Passports with visas affixed are returned in person or by courier depending on the mission's process

Fees & processing time

  • Visa fee: approximately MAD 300-400 (about USD 30-40), payable in local currency or USD equivalent
  • Additional service fee may apply if processed through an authorized visa application centre rather than directly at the consulate
  • Standard processing: 5-10 working days once documents are complete
  • Express processing may be available at some centres for an additional fee, reducing turnaround to 2-3 working days

Tips for Kenya travelers

  • Apply at least 3-4 weeks before travel to allow for standard processing and any additional document requests
  • Common rejection reasons include insufficient proof of funds, unclear itinerary, and incomplete invitation letters for business travel
  • Confirm the current accredited Moroccan mission or visa centre handling Kenya applications, as arrangements can vary by region
  • Keep certified copies of financial and employment documents, as originals may be requested at the appointment
  • Extensions within Morocco are possible in limited cases through local police stations (Bureau des Etrangers) before the visa expires
