Tips for Kenya travelers

  • Book your CVASC appointment in Nairobi early, especially during peak travel seasons when slots fill up quickly
  • Common rejection reasons for Kenyan applicants: incomplete invitation letters, inconsistent employment documentation, or insufficient bank statement history
  • Bring both digital and printed copies of your hotel bookings and flight itinerary to the CVASC appointment
  • If applying for a business visa, ensure the Chinese host company's invitation letter includes all details required by CVASC (company chop/stamp, purpose, duration)
  • Consider the express processing option if your travel date is close, since standard processing plus appointment wait times can extend beyond a week
