Tips for Kenya travelers

  • Common rejection reasons: insufficient proof of funds, weak ties to Kenya, unclear or unconvincing travel purpose, incomplete insurance
  • If Belgium is not your main destination, apply at the embassy of the Schengen country where you will spend the most time or first enter
  • Extensions within the Schengen area are rarely granted; plan your full itinerary before applying
