  • Proof of accommodation in Somalia
  • Proof of sufficient funds for your stay
  • Letter of invitation if traveling for business or with an organization

  • Tourist/visitor e-Visa: single entry, valid for a stay of up to 30 days, fee approx USD 60
  • Business e-Visa: requires an invitation letter from a Somali host company or NGO
  • Extended-stay permits: for longer stays, arranged through Somalia's Immigration and Citizenship Agency after arrival

How to apply online

  • Visit the official Somalia eVisa portal and create an account
  • Complete the application with passport details, trip purpose, and accommodation information
  • Upload your passport bio page and passport photo
  • Pay the eVisa fee online by credit or debit card
  • Processing is typically completed within a few business days; approval is emailed as a printable document
  • Present the printed e-Visa approval together with your passport on arrival at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu

Fees & processing time

  • eVisa fee: approximately USD 60 for the standard single-entry visitor category
  • No separate consulate fee since there is no Somali mission in Hong Kong
  • Standard processing time: typically within a few business days, though delays can occur
