Serbia Visa for Hong Kong Citizens 2026

Visa Free

Hong Kong SAR passport holders can enter Serbia visa-free for stays of up to 14 days for tourism or business purposes.

Guide last updated October 25, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure date from Serbia
  • Proof of onward or return travel
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay
  • Travel health insurance is recommended though not mandatory for visa-free entry
  • No separate application form is required for visa-free entry

Visa types

  • Visa-free entry: no visa required for stays up to 14 days for tourism or short business trips
  • Standard visa: required for Hong Kong SAR passport holders who intend to stay longer than 14 days, work, or study, obtainable through the Embassy of Serbia
  • Business visa: required for stays beyond 14 days with a business invitation letter

Entry conditions

  • Hong Kong SAR passport holders may stay in Serbia visa-free for up to 14 days within a 180-day period
  • Entry is permitted for tourism, short business visits, and family visits
  • Paid employment is not permitted under the visa-free arrangement
  • On arrival, be ready to show your return ticket, accommodation details, and proof of funds if asked by the border officer
  • Overstaying even by a few days can result in fines and a record affecting future entries to Serbia and the wider region

Fees & processing time

  • No visa fee applies for the visa-free 14-day entry
  • No processing time is needed since no application is required
  • If a longer-stay visa is needed, Embassy of Serbia visa fees and processing (typically 10-15 business days) apply separately
  • Registering your address with local police within 24 hours of arrival (or through your hotel) is required and carries no fee

Tips for Hong Kong travelers

  • Keep your 14-day limit in mind - it is shorter than the Schengen 90-day allowance many Hong Kong travelers are used to
  • If visiting Serbia as part of a wider Balkan trip, plan your Serbia days separately since this is not a Schengen country
  • Hotels usually handle the mandatory police registration automatically; confirm this at check-in if staying in a private apartment
  • Carry proof of return travel and funds, as Serbian border officers may ask for them even for visa-free entrants
  • For stays beyond 14 days, apply for a visa at the Embassy of Serbia well before travel since there is no Serbian mission in Hong Kong
