What you need

  • Proof of sufficient funds (bank statement or equivalent)

  • Women travelers no longer need a male guardian or local sponsor for tourism visits

Visa types

  • Tourist eVisa / visa on arrival: multiple entry, valid 1 year from issue, maximum stay 90 days per visit, fee approx SAR 535
  • Umrah visa: single or multiple entry for pilgrimage purposes, arranged through licensed Umrah operators
  • Business visa: requires an invitation letter from a Saudi host company, processed through the Saudi e-visa business channel

Visa on arrival

  • Hong Kong passport holders eligible for the tourist eVisa can instead complete the Saudi Arabia Visit Visa kiosk process on arrival at major airports including Riyadh and Jeddah
  • Present your passport, return ticket, and accommodation proof at the visa-on-arrival counter before immigration
  • Pay the SAR 535 fee by card or cash at the kiosk, which bundles the mandatory health insurance
  • Processing at the kiosk typically takes 15-30 minutes
  • Applying for the eVisa online in advance through visa.visitsaudi.com avoids queues and is recommended over the arrival kiosk during peak travel periods such as Hajj and major holidays
