What you need

  • HKSAR passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure from the Schengen area
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay
  • Confirmed return or onward ticket
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Travel/health insurance covering at least EUR 30,000 is strongly recommended
  • No visa application form or biometrics required for the visa-free entry

Visa types

  • No visa required for short tourist, business, or transit stays up to 90 days in any 180-day period
  • For stays beyond 90 days, work, or study, a national (sticker) visa or residence permit from the Hungarian Consulate General in Hong Kong is required in advance
