Hong Kong SAR passport holders can enter Georgia visa-free for stays of up to 30 days — no visa or online application is required for short tourist or business visits.

What you need

  • Valid HKSAR passport (at least 6 months' validity recommended)
  • Confirmed onward or return travel ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or address of stay)
  • Sufficient funds for the stay (cash, card statement, or sponsor letter)
  • No visa application form needed for the visa-free stay
  • Travel health insurance: recommended but not mandatory
  • Biometrics: not required for entry under the visa-free arrangement

Visa types

  • No visa required for stays up to 30 days (tourism, business meetings, or family visits)
  • For stays beyond 30 days, or for work/study, a Georgian long-term visa or residence permit is required in advance via the e-Visa portal (evisa.gov.ge) or the Georgian consulate

Entry conditions

  • Stay allowed: up to 30 days within any 180-day period for tourism, business, or family visits
  • Working is not permitted under this visa-free entry
  • Border officers may ask to see proof of onward travel and accommodation on arrival
  • The visa-free stay generally cannot be extended from inside Georgia; travellers needing longer stays should apply for a long-term visa before the 30 days expire
