Hong Kong SAR passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival in Bahrain, or apply in advance through Bahrain's eVisa portal, for stays of up to 14 to 90 days depending on the option chosen.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
  • Return or onward travel ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking)
  • Sufficient funds for the stay
  • Passport-size photo if applying at the airport counter; digital photo capture used for the eVisa
  • Biometrics (fingerprint and photo) may be captured on arrival at Bahrain International Airport
  • Travel health insurance recommended

Visa types

  • Single-entry Visa on Arrival/eVisa: 14 days, single entry
  • 90-day multiple-entry eVisa: allows multiple visits within the validity period, each stay up to 90 days
  • Business and other visa categories require sponsorship and are applied for through the eVisa portal or a local sponsor in Bahrain
