What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry
  • Completed online e-visa application or embassy application form
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter from a Syrian resident/sponsor)
  • Return or onward ticket
  • Passport-style photo (35mm x 45mm, white background, taken within the last 6 months)
  • Biometrics are not typically collected for the e-visa but may be required at the embassy for in-person applications
  • Travel health insurance is strongly recommended given limited medical infrastructure in many regions

  • Tourist e-Visa - single entry, valid for use within 3 months of issue, maximum stay 15-30 days depending on current regulations, approximate fee USD 50-100
  • Business visa - single or multiple entry, requires an invitation letter from a Syrian company, fee USD 100-150
  • Transit visa - short validity (up to 72 hours), issued for onward travel only

  • Processing time: typically 3-10 business days, though can extend to several weeks given administrative conditions
  • Approval arrives as a PDF e-visa to print and present on arrival, or as a physical visa sticker if processed through the embassy
