What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry
  • SG Arrival Card (SGAC), submitted electronically up to 3 days before arrival via the ICA website or app
  • Return or onward ticket
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay (rarely checked but can be requested)
  • Proof of accommodation
  • No visa photo required; biometrics captured at immigration are for record purposes only
  • Travel health insurance: not mandatory, strongly recommended

  • Longer stays (work, study, long-term business) require an Employment Pass, Student's Pass or Long-Term Visit Pass applied for through the Ministry of Manpower or ICA before travel

Tips for Germany travelers

  • Submit the SG Arrival Card no earlier than 3 days before arrival
  • Carry proof of onward travel since airlines can deny boarding without it
  • Singapore enforces strict drug laws, including capital punishment for trafficking - check Singapore's controlled substances list before carrying any medication
  • Chewing gum import (non-therapeutic) is restricted
  • If your trip may exceed 90 days, arrange an Employment Pass or Long-Term Visit Pass in advance rather than relying on an extension
