What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry, with at least 2 blank pages
  • Digital passport-style photo uploaded with the online application
  • Scanned passport bio page
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate - mandatory for entry into Cote d'Ivoire
  • Hotel booking or address of stay in Cote d'Ivoire
  • Return or onward ticket
  • Biometrics (fingerprints, photo) are captured on arrival at Felix-Houphouet-Boigny International Airport, Abidjan

Visa types

  • Tourist/Business e-Visa: multiple entry, valid 90 days from issue, each stay up to 90 days, fee approximately USD 73
  • Short transit e-Visa: for layovers, reduced validity and fee, available through the same portal
  • Long-stay or resident visas: handled separately through the Ivorian embassy for work or extended family visits, and not available via the e-Visa portal

  • Apply at the official portal snedai.ci, create an account, and enter passport and trip details
  • Upload the passport scan, photo and yellow fever certificate
  • Pay the fee online by credit card (approximately USD 73)
  • Processing time: typically 2-3 business days; approval is emailed as a PDF to print and present on arrival
  • At Abidjan airport, present the printed e-Visa and passport at the dedicated e-Visa immigration lane
