  • Carry printed hotel bookings and a return ticket, especially for land border crossings where checks can be stricter
  • This is not a Schengen stay, so it does not affect your Schengen 90/180-day allowance
  • Check current security advisories for specific regions before travel, particularly outside major tourist areas
  • Most routes from Germany connect via the US or Central America hubs like Panama City or San Salvador
