Visa Free

French citizens can enter Singapore visa-free for stays of up to 90 days for tourism or business, with only a valid passport and a free online SG Arrival Card required.

Guide last updated September 23, 2026. Always verify with official sources before travel.

What you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry
  • SG Arrival Card submitted online, free, within 3 days before arrival via the ICA website or app
  • Proof of onward or return travel
  • Sufficient funds for the stay, rarely checked but can be requested
  • No visa fee, photo or biometric submission required in advance; fingerprints are scanned at immigration on arrival as standard procedure for all visitors
  • Travel health insurance not mandatory but recommended

Visa types

  • Not applicable for stays up to 90 days — France is on Singapore's visa-exemption list
  • Longer stays, work or study require an Employment Pass, Student's Pass or Long-Term Visit Pass, arranged through a local sponsor or institution before or after arrival

Entry conditions

  • Up to 90 days per visit for tourism, business meetings or social visits
  • No paid employment permitted under visa-free entry
  • Present the SG Arrival Card confirmation, passport and return ticket at immigration
  • Extensions beyond 90 days are rarely granted for tourists; leaving and re-entering is the usual approach for longer stays

Fees & processing time

  • No visa fee — entry is free
  • SG Arrival Card: free, submitted online
  • Total cost: none beyond standard fees
  • Processing time: SG Arrival Card confirmation is instant; immigration clearance typically takes a few minutes
  • No express option needed

Tips for France travelers

  • Submit the SG Arrival Card within the 3-day window before arrival — submitting too early will be rejected
  • Common issue: forgetting the SG Arrival Card, which can cause delays at immigration (a paper card is available as backup)
  • Strict rules on chewing gum, e-cigarettes and drugs — check customs restrictions before travel
  • No embassy or VFS visit needed for short stays
  • For stays beyond 90 days, arrange the appropriate pass well in advance through a local employer, school or family sponsor
